The comfortable way to remove a skin tag
Skin tag removal in Middlesbrough at Helena Aesthetics is a safe, non-surgical treatment using advanced electrolysis, also called diathermy. A medically trained, VTCT Level 4 practitioner and former paramedic gently removes skin tags, milia, thread veins, warts and blemishes, with no cutting and no downtime. Every treatment starts with a consultation and patch test.
What is a skin tag?
Skin tags are small, soft growths that often appear where skin rubs against skin or clothing, like the neck, the underarms and the eyelids. They are very common and completely harmless, but they can catch, snag and bother you.
At Helena Aesthetics on Acklam Road in Middlesbrough, I remove skin tags with advanced electrolysis. It is a precise, non-surgical method, so there is no cutting and no scarring when the skin is cared for properly afterwards.

A note on moles. For your safety, a mole is never treated as a skin tag. If a growth is changing, or you are unsure what it is, I will ask you to see your GP first.

How advanced electrolysis removes a skin tag
A fine needle, no cut
A very fine, sterile needle, about as thin as a hair, is gently placed on the skin tag. There is no cutting.
A little controlled heat
A small, controlled amount of heat passes through the needle into the skin tag.
The tissue dries up
That heat gently dries the tissue inside the tag, without harming the healthy skin around it.
It falls away naturally
Over the next few days the skin tag shrinks, dries out, and falls away on its own.
